Description of Open Water diving course on the coast of La Palma

The SSI Open Water Diver allows you to dive all over the world thanks to the fact that it is an international level school.

The Open Water course prepares you to be an autonomous diver, capable of diving to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

In this course we will see 6 chapters of theory, fundamental when it comes to solving problems and controlling this sport.

You will learn to use the famous tables with measurements of maximum depth, time and nitrogen accumulated in the body.

After the theoretical part, we will move on to practice. We will begin to use the equipment and put into practice what we learned in the pool; When we are ready, we will do 4 dives in the sea, until we reach a depth of 18 meters, a requirement to obtain this course.

Regarding the duration, it depends on the dedication and progress of each student. Approximately 3 sessions are required to complete it.

To carry out this activity you must be at least 10 years old, know how to swim at least 200 meters and have a medical certificate.

The areas that we will choose to do the dives will be between Cancajos and Malpique although we will always be conditioned to the weather.
