We have for the little ones an artistic tour through a unique town of the Cantabrian Sea, the town of Comillas. With the help of a professional guide you can start enjoying the Cantabrian taste for architecture and history as you learn all about the secrets of this town and the works of one of the best known Modernist architects.
The tour will depart from Santander, taking us to Comillas and where we will stop to get to know the Sequoia Forest of Cabezón de la Sal. Children will be impressed by the size of these trees!
Once among the streets of Comillas you will get to know its history, in which the visit to the Old Major Seminary of Comillas will play a prominent role (located on a beautiful hill from where you can see the Palace of Sobrellano) and the Gaudí's "El Capricho" building.
Outside and inside, El Capricho by Gaudí is an excellent architectural work that will amaze you. Inspired by the sunflower, it was one of the first building projects that Gaudí designed, and one the few ones that the architect built outside of Catalonia.
The tour will finish with a visit to the port of Comillas, the old cemetery and the Fuente de los Tres Caños.
