Description of Trekking in the Ponga Natural Park 2 days
Are you looking for a two-day Trekking route in a very unique place? The Natural Park of Ponga offers you the spectacular surroundings and us, the two-day excursion to get to know it.
We will establish the meeting point at the Town Hall Square of San Juan de Beleño, from where we will go to Les Bedules. That's where our route starts on the first day. We will go to the Peloño Nature Reserve, where we can see one of the largest beech woods in the area, of an area of about 15 square kilometers. Then we will head to Ventaniella, where there is a historic hamlet with hermitage and prairie and where we will stay that night.
The next day we will follow the old commercial route between Asturias and León to reach Peña Pileñes. There we will enjoy the most wonderful views of the Peloño Forest and other peaks of the area, such as the western massif of the Picos de Europa. To finish the route we will return to Ventaniella, traveling a total of 24 kilometres.
