Trekking Mythical places of Picos de Europa 4 days

You won't find a Trekking route in Los Picos de Europa with the best effort/reward balance. On this 4-stage trekking route, we will be going through the most famous places of the National Park of Picos de Europa: the Covadonga lakes, Vegarredonda, La Vega de Ario, La Senda del Cares trail, Sotres, La Senda de Bulnes and the Mirador de Ordiales viewpoint.
The route is the following:

Stage 1: COVADONGA LAKES - MIRADOR DE ORDIALES - VEGARREDONDA:

We will start this Trekking with a classic route in the Picos de Europa. We will meet one the most magical places in Asturias, the Mirador de Ordiales. An impressive viewpoint, leaping metres over the emptiness, from we can see almost all Asturias. There are few places like this one, that offer us such a wide view of the Asturias' geography. Once the energy is recovered, we will go back to the Vegarredonda´s shelter where we met in the morning, on the way to Ordiales and spend the night there. 

Stage 2: VEGARREDONDA - VEGA DE ARIO

We will travel through some of the Majadas, where we can see how the shepherds elaborate, step by step, the Gamoneu del Puerto cheese, then we will ascend to Vega de Ario, which shelter we will sleep. With the Macizo Central of the Picos de Europa in front of us, with summits such as Torrecerredo (the highest peak of Green Spain. We will spend the night in a shelter in Vega de Ario.

Stage 3: VEGA DE ARIO - SENDA DEL CARES - PONCEBOS: 

From Ario, we have to take a long descend, through an uncomfortable canal, Trea´s, to reach the Senda del Cares. This descent is the most difficult part of the Trekking´s route. Once we are on flat roads, we will walk through almost all the Senda del Cares, to finish this stage in Poncebos, where a mountain hotel accommodations we will help us to recover all the energies to face the next day´s stage. 

Stage 4: PONCEBOS - BULNES -SOTRES:

We will walk through one the oldest tracks that cover Garganta del Cares. We will ascend up to one the isolated villages of Asturias. Nowadays, there is a cable car that let you visit Bulnes, so, if somebody is feeling tires because of the last stages, you can hop on the cable car and descend walking. Once we arrive this nice village, we will complete the last stretch of this trekking ascent in order to reach Collado Pandébano, from where we will be able to spot the iconic Pico Urriellu, or the Naranjo de Bulnes, the most famous mountain of the Picos de Europa. Once in Pandébano, we will only have to go down a wide trail that will lead us to Sotres, where we will pick you up to take you back to Poncebos. This will be the last stop of this tour along the most mythical spots of the mountains of Picos de Europa.
