Description of Hiking Velillos River Canyon in Granada

If you are a lover of hiking and want to go on an excursion with your family and friends, mark January 28 on your calendar.

We propose an excursion of medium difficulty with a circular route of 12 km. The route crosses some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area and is also a nice way to get to know the flora and fauna of the surrounding area.

We leave in Olivares to reach the Velillos River canyon and a little further on to Moclín, where we will take the opportunity to have lunch. Afterwards we will visit the castle and the hermitage of Cristo del Paño, one of the most famous places in the region. Along the Mozarabic road we will return to Los Olivares.

The departure takes place at 8 in the morning in Córdoba. Specifically on Manolete Avenue with the corner of Gran Via Parque Avenue, next to the churros stand.

We recommend that you equip yourself with mountain boots, warm clothing, poles and a backpack. It would be nice if you could bring a garbage bag for waste.

It is essential to bring lunch and drink.

Don't forget to take the binoculars and the camera to immortalize the best moments.
