Astronomical hiking to La Ventana del Nublo 4 hours

Many see the hiking routes as something tiring or boring, but it is because they have not tried ours, much less our astronomic hiking trip in Tejeda, more specifically in the Roque Nublo area, at the summit of the Gran Canaria island. A 3 hour-long walk awaits us through this environment with singular beauty , with arid and desert landscapes that will make us feel like we are on Mars while we walk under the protection of the stars and other celestial bodies.

Prepare comfortable clothing, a plastic bag, hiking shoes, water and a headlamp just in case (if you don't have one, let us know in advance). All this material is mandatory, but don't worry about the rest because the good thing about a hiking route is that it is an adventure with capital letters without any complications, since you don't need any specific material.

However, we recommend bringing gloves, a hat, lipstick, hiking poles and a light blanket. During this experience, a guide and a Starlight monitor will accompany you at all times and will explain basic concepts of astronomy so that you can understand how in the past, navigators and travelers guided themselves with help of the stars, stars that will also help you identify, along with the constellations they form and while you learn about their stories, myths and legends.

You are going to take a dream astronomical night hiking route that few can enjoy. We will be walking among the ravines and moors of Las Palmas. More specifically, you will visit La Ventana del Roque Nublo, which is one of the most important points of geological interest on the island. You will be able to enjoy a magical sunset in the mountains, over the Tejeda Caldera. Ahead, 3 hours during which we will be able to observe the starry sky with total clarity. Far from any light or noise pollution of the city, we will be able to enjoy the sky like in few places in the world thanks to how far away we will be.

There is no sky more beautiful than the one seen from the summits of Gran Canaria and when you contemplate it specifically from the Roque Nublo area you will be completely enchanted.
