November Bridge in the Sierra de la Demanda

Are you looking for an original plan for this November bank holiday? We offer you the opportunity to discover La Demanda Mountains, which is an incredible natural environment located in La Rioja. Here, there are located emblematic villages as Ezcaray, San Millán de la Cogolla, and Anguiano.

We will organize a schedule which will last five days (four nights). The participants will enjoy half-board accommodation (breakfast and dinner). They will have the opportunity to enjoy three trekking routes and a visit to Juan Carlos Sancha wine cellar. Moreover, you will be able to take a breath and/or to visit San Millán Monasteries, one of the best places for Spanish language and Humanity Heritage.

The accommodation will be booked in a wonderful rural house with double rooms, such an ideal plan for couples!

Daily schedule:

First day: we will welcome you in the accommodation. After this, you will have time to take a breath from the travel and have dinner.

Second day: Interpretative trekking route through La Demanda Mountains (3h30min). With the company of a well-experienced local guide, you will be able to discover every single natural secret (flora, fauna, mycology...) hidden in this unique natural environment in La Rioja. After this, you will have spare time to visit Ezcaray and its little villages. This place is well-known for its architecture and gastronomy. Dinner in the accommodation.

Third day: San Millán / Anguiano trekking routes: 21 km. 3rd GR 93 stage. You will complete this route on your own because it's well signaled and you will count on our support. There will be a checkpoint on km 13 if you want to come back to the accommodation. After this stage and a wonderful visit to Anguiano, the participants will come back to the accommodation.

Fourth day: San Millán / Ezcaray: 17 km. 2nd GR 93 stage. This will also be completed on your own because it's well signaled and you will count on our support. After this stage (3:00 p.m.), we will pick you up in Ezcaray to come back to the accommodation. Spare time to take a breath. Visit to Juan Carlos Sancha wine cellar to discover its innovative wine production and wine tasting. Coming back to the accommodation, dinner, and time to rest.

Fifth day: you will have the opportunity to rest and/or visit the monasteries. Suso and Yuso Monasteries, both built 16 centuries ago, have been declared Humanity Heritage due to they were the first place to spread the Spanish language. There are several local paths to discover the natural environment surrounding them by walking (6:00 p.m.) End of the activity.
