Hiking through Sierra Bermeja and Genalguacil 8 hours

Our hiking route through Sierra Bermeja will start very high, since we will start from its own summit. In our vehicles we will go to Cerro Abanto , more than 1200 meters above sea level, and from here we will start our journey and go down paths full of vegetation while we see the Costa del Sol in the background. Seeing the Mediterranean from such a height and immersed in hills covered with forests is unmatched.

We will go down the Sierra Bermeja at our own pace and without haste, and we will take the paths that eventually land us in the town of Genalguacil , the nicknamed museum town for the large amount of urban art that decorates its streets. You will know that we will be close to this town when, after so much natural thicket, we come across a white point nestled in a completely green hillside, then we will be in front of one of the most beautiful white villages in Malaga , we will have arrived at Genalguacil . We will walk through its narrow streets and get to know the most emblematic murals of its pedestrian network.

When we finish by Genalguacil we will take one of its paths and walk for 7.9 kilometers to reach the course of the Genal River , the high point of our hiking route , and we will see it when we walk along its banks full of greenery while we only hear the splash of the water as it flows. After walking along the Genal footbridges we continue to the homonymous campsite and we will end our adventure.
