Description of Night route and astronomical observation Algarín
At night, the earth is calm and the sky begins a frantic activity in which a beautiful play of lights occurs. Having the opportunity to see this show is now possible. We take you to the night climb of mount Algarin on a journey of approximately 8 hours.
With a height of 1,067 meters, this mountain allows from its summit an impressive panorama of the entire north facade of the mountains of Sierra de Grazalema, with the reservoir and the town of Zahara de la Sierra in front of you. Therefore, for you to enjoy from the beginning, we will begin the route from the village of El Gastor. As we rise, the sun will fall and will tint our surroundings warm colour of the sunset.
Once the sun goes down, you will be equipped with a head torch and we will begin to descend setting the course towards the town of El Gastor. Thus, with the stars above us, we will reach the Gigante dolmen. It will be at this point when we make a stop to observe the sky, its stars and planets, in addition to the constellations.
The guide who will accompany you throughout the journey, will indicate the itinerary, but will also be in charge of interpreting the elements that you detect in the night sky. And, so that you all know at every moment where to look; will point each point with a laser pointer.
