Casserres horse riding route, 3 hours

If you already have some endurance on horseback, try this ride, the Casserres Route, which will take us around 3 hours on our mount.

The excursion takes its name from the monastery, of Romanesque origin, of Sant Pere de Casserres. We will see this 11th century monument from the opposite side of the river that runs through the area, thus avoiding the prohibition on horses from reaching the edge of this historic building.

We will ride through cultivated areas that will give us a good sample of the way of life in the Plana de Vic countryside. We will continue through the western part of Les Guilleries discovering the forests in which bandits roamed, such as the well-known Serrallonga.

These 10 kilometers of route will take us to the meanders that feed the bed of the Ter. Here it coincides with the Sau reservoir and the beautiful cliffs of Collsacabra.

The only difficulty with this route lies in its duration since it can be excessive for people who have never ridden a horse before.
