Add to your vacation in the Canary Islands an inexpensive horseback ride through the interior of Fuerteventura from the Tetir equestrian center. If you have 1 hour this is your route because it is easy to follow even if you don't know how to ride yet. Even if you already live on the island, we assure you that contemplating it from the horse gives you a completely different perspective.

The valley in which the town of Tetir is located is found within the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. It is an essential point in this municipal area that will allow us to ride among the trails that join its hills. To do this, we will start with the instructions that every rider and horsewoman should know to interact with the horse before leaving the farm. Our instructor will ask if you all feel ready and we will begin the walk around the Valley known as La Sargenta.

These equestrian excursions take place in the afternoon during the week since, from Monday to Friday, we open at 4 p.m. If you choose the right moment you will be able to see the sunset over Fuerteventura on horseback. On Saturday mornings you will also find us available until 1 p.m. but keep in mind that we are closed on Sundays.

Lovely stables and ride. They had well cared for horses. The only slight problem was I could not contact before as the yumping site says you get contact details after you have booked and paid. I wanted to check that they could accommodate both my husband and I and my 8 year old. I wasn’t able to without paying. It was all ok but felt like it would be better to be able to confirm that and the exact time before, but it was all great, really lovely ride for beginners. Excellent.

Description of Horseback riding route from Tetir, 2 hours

We will accompany you for 2 hours horseback riding through the area of Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura. For this we have chosen an itinerary that starts 10 kilometers from this capital in a northwesterly direction that will show you what this part of the Canary Island is like while you ride.

From the Tetir equestrian farm we can use paths that will not cause difficulties if we have some riding experience. The town is in the middle of a flat valley through which we can guide the animals while we begin to see the peaks that surround it. Some are small hills but we will soon be able to see the Temejereque mountain, if we look north, which exceeds 500 meters in altitude.

We only need some basic rules, which the guide shares with the entire group before departure, so that the horses follow the entire route since they are used to doing so and they will make the adventure easier for us if it is the first time we go on an equestrian route. We will tell you the best time for this activity, always in the afternoon, if you book from Monday to Friday, and in the morning if you book for a Saturday.
