1-week horseback route along the Costa Brava

There is nothing that we could like more than spending a whole week enjoying the Costa Brava, its beaches and its inland natural surroundings with that special green color. But if there is something that far exceeds it, it is to tour this wonderful place with an equestrian experience in which you will spend 7 days feeling like a real rider on the back of one of our horses. .

To be able to live this adventure full of emotions, you don't have to do anything more than go to the Masía Can Grau with everything ready to spend a few days of movies. The truth is that a great plan to spend time with your loved ones, yes, we hope that you come with a tremendous desire to ride a horse, because you will spend about 6 hours a day riding. • Day 1: our team will be waiting for you at the farmhouse with everything ready inCan Grau for this great adventure and, once you have settled in, during dinner they will tell you what will consist of all our experience. In addition, they will have a little talk with each of you so that you tell them your level and that they can assign you the perfect horse.

• Day 2: on this first day of excursion, you will go out to explore all those wonders of the Empordà with a pleasant journey through cultivated fields until you reach the poplar forests near the Ter River. This place is perfect for those with a little more experience to gallop without worry. Afterwards, you will continue the route to Can Casadellà, where you will spend the night and gather strength for the next excursion.

• Day 3: here comes what you were waiting for, because this day will take place that long-awaited route through the Fonollera beach, a place that will make you feel lucky when you find yourself in front of the wonderful Medes Islands . But before that, you will ride through environments full of coastal nature that will not leave you indifferent at all, such as La Gola del Ter, La Platera or El Ter Vell. In addition, you will also make a section through the rice fields on the way to Peratallada, which in the Middle Ages was one of the best fortified towns in the entire country and you will be able to contemplate its walls from the horse.

• Day 4: the route you will follow on the next excursion will feature the Montgrí massif, which you will reach after passing through the river Ter, and you will enjoy lunch surrounded by nature special. You will go through all this environment and you will be able to head towards the famousRoses Bay, where you can gallop like a true horsewoman while feeling the breeze and the humidity of the sea. We assure you that there are few things that can compare with that feeling. We will end the day in Sant Martí de Empúries, considered the first Greek city on the Iberian Peninsula.

• Day 5: if you were left wanting more the day before, this is your opportunity to continue enjoying the galloping and freedom touring the golden sand of the beach. Although later you will immerse yourself in the countryside and vegetation while you follow the Fluviá riverbed until you reach Lake Valveralla. Here you will gain strength again and head towards the farmhouse of Can Grau.

• Day 6: We return to the starting point, but this time the route will be north to reach Galliners. Although the best comes when you arrive at the Báscara racetrack and take a gallop around its facilities. We know that you will be exhausted after such an intense day, that is why the excursion will end in Can Sort, another of the wonderful accommodations where you will spend the night and rest like a baby.

• Day 7: this incredible experience will end in the best way, exploring every corner of the lower Empordà and gaining strength with a picnic at the Gaüses hermitage. And to put an end to the adventure, you will cross the poplar forests until you return to Can Grau for the last time and recover from all this week of emotions on horseback.
