Via ferrata and rock climbing in El Chorro Álora 4 h

Málaga's town of Álora hides a really unique via ferrata through the Natural Park of the Gaitanes Gorge, next to the emblematic Caminito del Rey. Here with the adrenaline giving you butterflies in your stomach, we will do the via ferrata of El Chorro for about 4 hours and we will enjoy rock climbing by routes with incredible views of the region of the Guadalhorce valley.

We will meet 30 minutes before at the El Chorro railway station. Inside the station bar our monitor will be waiting for you coffee in hand. Don't worry about where to leave your car as there is ample parking at the station and at the access to Caminito del Rey (where we will start our activity). We have no problem offering transfer if necessary.

Once the presentations are done, we will go to our challenge: a via ferrata of K3 difficulty. Full of exciting challenges that we can even do with the little ones who are at least 14 years old and as long as they come accompanied by an adult .

For this via ferrata of just over 2 and a half kilometers of route and with a drop of 195 meters, you will have all the necessary materials and our mountaineering experts will accompany you at all times.

Once we have equipped ourselves and receive the indications of the guides, we will get ready to begin the El Chorro via ferrata in a very exciting way, ascending a vertical wall that then it will lead us to go across the quarry. eye! In this area the stones are usually loose.

Once this section is solved, another great vertical wall will wait for us to overcome it by climbing it. Once we have cleared it, the El Chorro via ferrata will reward us with a hilarious moment of adrenaline. We will cross a section of the route with an exciting zip-line of 30 meters in length , ideal to subject our body to a high of strong sensations. 

When we have completed this part, we will continue the El Chorro via ferrata with more energy than ever, since the zip line and the desire to run into the other challenges that await us will automatically motivate us. And it is not for less, because after that, we will continue ascending until we find an impressive Tibetan bridge.

The best of all is that, immediately afterwards, the fun will increase as it will do our height, since we will find a monkey bridge that will give us the unbeatable panoramic views of the town of Álora, from where we will see with privileged eyes this charming little town full of white houses.

From here our descent begins with the lifeline until we reach a section where we are presented with two paths: rappel with an intoxicating height of 25 meters or, continue along the ferrata itself.

Once we have passed this part, the return will be made through a perfectly signposted path that leads us to a water trough, which surrounds the entire peak where the El Chorro via ferrata takes place. We will continue until we come to the end of the parking lot near the ferrata.

Once the via ferrata is finished, it is time to regain our strength to continue the adventure. Get your magnesium out of these rocks, you climbing lovers, since this is your moment! We will not even need to travel to do our climbing session, since next to the beginning of the via ferrata we find several schools with routes of various levels, and very well equipped. 

It does not matter if you have never practiced this sport or if you already have some experience, since the variety of levels means that we can all climb in this area. With our qualified instructors you will learn the appropriate climbing techniques so that you can reach the top and once there you can enjoy your achievement, and then descend with the rappel techniques.
