During the day, we will show you how to read correctly a map, also learn how to use the altimeter and compass. We will even dedicate time to the modern elements, like GPS navigation system.
This circuit will consist in 10 different control points that you will need to reach using a map and compass. Each participant can choose his/her own as long as you reach them all.
You will learn and prepare different ways of advancing through mountains, always with the maximum respect the environment and consider the possible risks to anticipate.
We will teach you the basics of cartography, like searching for coordinates, projections, and all the elements that you need to know to dominate the world of maps.
We will work on topographic maps and learn to read the different types of terrain that indicate the trail.
You will also learn to orientate yourself by using natural elements that we have in front of us, like the stars, moon, sun, and also the vegetation trails.
You will discover the different strategies that you can use to orientate, whether is a map, estimation, and negative visibility conditions, etc.
Of course, you will learn to prepare a route, tracing the correct schedule, considering the type of terrain and different levels, climate estimation and more.
Ultimately, once the orienteering course is finished, you will be able to elaborate fantastic trips through the mountains, and orient yourself in the face oif adversity or difficult conditions.

Each group must reach 10 checkpoints. At each checkpoint you have to carry out an activity/test and record it with a photo or video for later assessment and thus determine the winning group.
It is a fun and educational activity. A previous explanation is made to learn how to orient ourselves on the map. Once the activity begins, various group dynamics are carried out with the intention of laughing, having fun, fostering camaraderie and teamwork.
