If you want to sail away on your own recreational craft, wether it's a sailboat, a motor vessel or a 24-metre long vessel, you can now sign up for this course in order to get a recreational craft captain's licence.
You can get an online theoretical course while following the regulatory requirements and compulsory rules of the Community of Valencia to prepare you for the practical lessons. You have at your disposal 6 months in order to take the online course, together with an instructor who will help you in everything you need.
Then, you can take three different practical courses. Firstly, there is a 16-hour powerboat course, then a 16-hour sailboat course and lastly, a 24-hour to sail on a 24-metre long boat. We've included the possibility to sail from the Valencia Sports Marina to the Balearic Islands with the last course.

What does the activity include
- Online theoretical course. It consists of basic concepts, mandatory and regulatory syllabus, online exam and past years' evaluation for you to study. Also, a virtual instructor will help you throughout the course.
- Regulatory practice in Valencia, a total of 56 navigation hours (motorboat, sailboat, 24-metre long vessels and trip to the Balearic Islands).
- Short-range radio operator course.
How long the activity lasts
The total length of the course is 68 hours, including theoretical and practical lessons, online and on-site.
