Snowshoeing in Llacs de Passons in Encamp 3h

If you find yourself skiing in the Grandvalira ski resort, located in the Andorran parish of Encamp, we recommend that you drop your ski poles for at least 3 hours, to change the winter tradition and take with us the poles for the snowshoes, so that you can have an incredible snowshoe excursion to Llacs de Pessons lake.

Our snowshoe route to Llacs de Pessons takes place in the Grandvalira ski resort and starts from the Grau Roig sector. Before starting we will equip you with all the necessary material so that you only have to bring winter clothes for the snow, sunglasses, sun protection and something to eat and drink.

We will have an idyllic snowshoe route, which will lead us through wonderful winter landscapes that seem taken from fantasy movies. This 3-hour snowshoe route will take us through beautiful enclaves that will fascinate our senses. Starting from Grau Roig, we will ascend until we reach our first stop, lake Primer.

Starting at Lake Primer, we continue with our snowshoe excursion going up the valley and passing over several lakes, such as: lake Rodó, lake Meligar and lake of Les Fonts. After discovering all these lakes in a dreamlike environment, we will finally reach the area where we will find our longed-for Cap dels Pessons lake, which is located at the foot of the colossal Pessons peak, with 2,864 impressive meters that leave absolutely no one indifferent. To reach Cap dels Pessons lake, we will have skirted the Pessons peak on its northern side.

Once we have enjoyed this mystical environment enough, we will get ready to finish our snowshoeing route going down northeast, continuing through a secondary valley that will leave us at lake Primer, from where we will return to what was the beginning of the route.
