Snowshoe tour to Pico Peñalara 5h

With the arrival of the snowy season, the ski slopes and a whole range of seasonal activities are open that you have to take advantage of. As is the case with our guided route in snowshoes of about 5 hours and 15 minutes around Madrid's Valcotos ski resort to crown the top of Peñalara.

Our journey in the heart of the National Park of Sierra de Guadarrama starts in Puerto de Cotos. The next stop will be to cross the Glacier Circus and the Laguna Grande. Our steps will guide us to the streams of Pedriza and Peñalara with the aim of reaching the highest peak, the Peñalara Peak located about 2,429 meters high.

Once this objective is reached, it is necessary to return to the starting point of the route, towards Cotos. And for this reason, we will go to the Cuerda Larga mountainous system, from where we can see the Dos Hermanas and Valsaín mountains.

A journey of 13,2 kilometers of medium physical and technical difficulty for which you will need to equip yourself correctly with mountaineering clothing and footwear, a flask and water, a backpack to carry your belongings and trekking poles. We will provide you with the snowshoes.
