Snowshoeing at Pico de Peygeret in the Pyrenees

Dare to travel the Tena Valley with a snowshoeing route for a full day, where we will go to Pico de Peygeret . This valley in the heart of the Pyrenees , belonging to the Aragonese region of Alto Gallego , is home to all kinds of trails that can be traversed serenely to enjoy the most privileged views of the peaks that are around here, and that, fortunately, we can all enjoy because it is a low difficulty snowshoe crossing .

We want to make the most of every minute in the Tena Valley , so our day with snowshoes will start early. Our meeting point will be at our facilities at 8:30 am and we will be back around 5:00 pm. Once together, we will reach the starting point of the ascent with our vehicle. We know that it is a truly exhilarating adventure, so do not worry about the materials, that cannot put your day back, since you will have rackets, poles, avalanche victim detector, probe and shovel, which of course , we will teach you how to use it with prior training.

Once ready we will head to Peygeret Peak , which has a height of 2,487 meters. We will start a snowshoe route around this colossal peak. Of it, we highlight its close proximity to the acclaimed Midi d´Ossau , as well as its slopes and not very marked slopes that give us a perfect climb to enjoy these privileged landscapes from above and in comfort. Immediately, we will notice that we have chosen the ideal route to start with the snowshoes , since we will be able to contemplate the Peygeret Peak from different corners, without having to make a complex ascent. On our way, we could also visit the ibón de Ordicuso or the ibones de Brazatos .
