Whale watching in Lajes do Pico, 3 hours

Having the opportunity to watch whales and dolphins up close is something that we should all do, at least once in a lifetime. This experience is spectacular and leaves everyone who does it fascinated. If you want to know what it feels like to live very close to all kinds of cetaceans, you cannot miss this adventure in The Azores.

We will tour the south of the Pico Island aboard a semi-rigid boat with capacity for 16 people. We will depart from the marina of Lajes do Pico on an excursion that will last approximately 3 hours. We have daily departures at 9:00 and 14:00, but in the months of June, July and August we also do them at 17:30.

During the tour, we will not only spot whales and dolphins, but we will also have the opportunity to see sea birds, turtles, and fish. You will be accompanied by skippers, biologists and professional watchmen who will explain everything you need to know to live a fascinating experience.

About 27 different species of cetaceans coexist in the waters of the North Atlantic Ocean, so this trip is one of the best opportunities for sightings, alwaysrespecting the animals and their natural habitat.
