Chester College

Chester College International School is a prestigious educational center located in Teo, on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela, with 35 years of experience in the sector , which has been holding language immersion camps every July since 1985.

The three camps offered are the following:

• Chester International English Summer program – An intensive English immersion language experience, with a special emphasis on theatre, music and sports. Parallel preparation for GESE tests from Trinity College London. Aimed at girls and boyswith ages between 7 and 17 years old.

• Chester English MINI Camp for registrants between 3 and 7 years old, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

• Spanish International Summer Camp: Spanish as a foreign language camp.

All camps take place in the center's facilities, surrounded by nature and - except for the MINI Camp - they have a residential and day mode (Day).

Resident participants who spend the night at the center are housed in separate male and female residences, under permanent supervision by the respective Residence Directors, who strive to create a home-like environment for participants who are away from home.

The dates of the different programs, for this summer of 2019, are as follows:

• Resident participants: from July 1 to July 31 (all month or fortnights: 1-16 or 16-31)

• Students on an external, non-resident regime: from July 2 to 30 (the whole month or fortnights: 2-16 or 17-31)

An active teaching methodology is followed, which seeks maximum exposure and practice of the language, in classes with small groups (teacher: student ratio less than 1:7) and by carrying out multiple musical, sports, cultural and recreational activities.

Participants have daily music, theater and oral communication sessions and prepare a final Musical-Concert, putting their communication skills into practice and developing their oratory and creativity. Classes are taught by carefully selected native and qualified teachers.

The Chester English & Performing Arts Camp also includes preparation and presentation at all levels of the GESE oral exams at Trinity College London, which participants in the Complete Program ( month) take place at the end of July in the center. In addition, preparation for the ISE I and ISE tests is also offered.II(which officially certify levels B1 and B2, respectively).
