With De Ruta por Asturias you will tour the region with experts in its artistic and cultural expressions. We guide you as professionals with specific preparation in each area so that you have the most curious details about the points you want to visit. Some of our proposals:
- Walk through the Historic Center of the city of Avilés: We leave on Saturdays at 12 noon for an itinerary of around 90 minutes through its streets and monuments. In addition to seeing its characteristic arcades, we will enter Sabugo, the neighborhood that served as a home for fishermen since the Middle Ages.
- Visit to the Las Alas chapel: on this visit carried out on Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. we will enter this proto-Gothic chapel (restricted access) from the 14th century, declared BIC in 1991. We will learn about its history, its art and its importance.
- See the Carriona Cemetery: Also on Fridays, starting at 5 p.m., we approach this resting place eternal known for its historical peculiarities. It dates from the last years of the 19th century and there you can admire the spectacular burials that Indians and wealthy inhabitants of the area paid for.
- Follow a section of the Camino de Santiago through Avilés: starting from the Pedro Solís hostel, we will help those pilgrims who are in route to get a complete impression of our city without deviating from your itinerary over 1 hour and a half.
