Description of Museu do Tesouro Real

We are theMuseu do Tesouro Real,a space in which we organize events and other activities other than visits to the museum.

It was founded on June 1, 2022 and is located in the Ajuda National Palace in Lisbon. This museum is located in the western part of the palace, and contains a wide variety of exhibited jewels from the royalty of Portugal.

It was built in 1795 with the aim of being the residence of the Kings of Portugal. It was not completed until the 19th century due to the French invasion, but from then until today it has been one of the most important museums in Lisbon.
The architecture is neoclassical and its rooms are antique details such as stuccos and furniture from the 19th century. Inside we hold musical concerts, exhibitions, meetings, seminars, banquets, film shoots and theater performances among many other events.

Our building also has a cafeteria that offers impressive panoramic views of the city. It is a relaxing rest area where you can have breakfast, lunch or have a coffee with views of the river.

In our different rooms you will see special collections unique to the former Portuguese Royal House, such as gold and diamonds from Brazil, coins and crown medals, royal insignia and private collections among other relics of history.

We are waiting for you!
