Description of Palacio de Las Dueñas

In Seville there is the construction that dates back to the 15th century. A palace with a lot of history: the Palacio de Las Dueñas.

Talking about the Las Dueñas Palace is going back to the 15th and 16th centuries.

Between those centuries, the house-palace of the Pinedas was built, belonging to one of the lineages of the patriciate of Seville.

Centuries later it became a tenement house with tenants who would later become very important personalities in Spain. The poet Antonio Machado lived in nothing more and nothing less from his birth until he was 8 years old.

This residence became a meeting place for members of European dynasties and relevant national and international personalities of the moment from different worlds, culture, politics and art.

Illustrious personalities not only met but lived in what we know today as the Palacio de Las Dueñas de Sevilla.

A place with a lot of history that needs to be preserved. It is here that the Casa de Alba Foundation decides to carry out conservation and dissemination work on the historical and artistic collections of this impressive space so that the legacy does not disappear.

A place with history that we seek to propagate through visits to the Las Dueñas Palace.
