Visit to Pozo Sotón takes you on a tour of the old Pozo Sotón mine in all its immensity, a unique experience in Europe.

We will begin by taking a tour of the exterior of the mine in which we will learn about all the work machines used on land. Our guides, authentic miners, will tell you how they work and what they are for, thus offering complete learning about this exciting world.

Once we have discovered the outdoor mining work, we will enter the mine, descending to almost 600m. deep, to know its interior, the work underground and discover what the miners feel in their daily lives.

The first thing will be to put on the appropriate clothing to descend into the mine, dress like authentic miners, and after receiving a short talk about the safety measures that must be followed during the tour , we will begin the exciting descent into the cage.

Once underground we will tour the enormous galleries of the mine, we will descend through the "La Jota" chimney and we will experience sensations such as drilling, chopping coal or traveling on an authentic mining train .

You can choose between 2 itineraries that will be carried out on independent days:

• Guided tour of the outdoor facilities, free access. Declared Asset of Cultural Interest.
• Interior route, located between 336 and 556 meters deep. The most striking place is the Jota chimney, with a vertical section. Its level of difficulty is high, so access is only recommended to the most adventurous users.

In the different rooms of the gallery you will be informed about the different aspects that covered life in the mine: communications, emergency equipment, traction elements and the rail yard.

The duration of the activity is 4 hours so afterwards you can go eat or have a wonderful dinner as the final touch to the excursion.
