At Cordobaviva Hiking we have the perfect plan for you:

Ascent to the highest peak in the province of Córdoba on the southern slope. This route is part of the Sierra de Horconera, in the Subbetica Natural Park , surrounded by narrow valleys, vertical slopes and a set of crevices, caves and chasms that characterize the Kartic landscape of the area. showing the erosive activity of the water on the limestone materials that make it up.

You will enjoy magnificent landscapes where the gray and ocher rock contrasts with the green vegetation that appears in it, such as mastic, holm oak, kermes oak, hawthorn and peonies.

The arrival at the summit is the goal of our route, since it is the roof of our Córdoba and allows us views of a good part of the province as well as allowing us to visualize Granada, Jaén and, if the day is clear enough, we could see to Sierra Nevada!

Cordobaviva Hiking is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to surprise its hikers, so now you can also discover the Sotos de Albolafia. The activity consists of a tour around the Los Sotos de la Albolafia Natural Monument, a stretch of the Guadalquivir River as it passes through Córdoba, limited by the Roman Bridge and the San Rafael Bridge. It is a series of flooded areas, islets, important masses of riverside vegetation and remains of flour mills of Arab origin.

This scenario favors very acceptable conditions to house birds associated with humid spaces. Up to 120 species have been cataloged, the majority being protected birds, which use this place as a wintering area, as a rest in their migratory cycles or as a mating area. For this reason, the enclave of Sotos de la Albolafia was declared a protected natural space with the category of Natural Monument on October 2, 2001. The Royal Heron, the Imperial Heron, the Heron and the Cattail Heron and the Common Martinete are some of the species that you can spot on this tour. The purpose of the route is to enhance this Natural Monument of the city.
