Offers of Paragliding Álava

If your body is asking for a break from the monotony with a pinch of adrenaline and a touch of relaxation, a paragliding flight is just what you're looking for. Flying is an exciting and unique sensation, and there’s no doubt of it, but a paragliding flight is something else, because it can't be compared to any other way of flying as it may be the most authentic and pure way of feeling like a bird. You will be alone among the clouds, a wing and nature, without windows or engines, and in Álava, you will find perfect flights to live this adventure.

Because to fly with a paraglider you only need to go with the desire to live an incredible experience, as if you were a small child. Having said that, the next question arises, where in Álava can I fly? You will find several well-connected towns where you can have this adventure. You can come to the town of Izarra, just 20 minutes from Álava, where you will find a company with which you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this region by flying over them serenely.

Although, without a doubt, the surroundings of Vitoria-Gasteiz is where you will find the most options. From here you will be able to fly through unbeatable places that will allow you to enjoy the Basque natural surroundings in all their splendour from the heights, although for this, they always take into account the weather conditions, so the take-off points vary accordingly, but don't worry, because the places are one more beautiful than the previous one. If you choose this option, you will be able to do paragliding over:

- Kurutzeberri and fly over the Urkulu reservoir while enjoying the views of the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park.

- Izarra. With this company, if the weather conditions are suitable, you will go to Izarra, where you can have a day of paragliding in the Port of Orduña, the Badaia mountain range or Kuartango.

- Or to Uharte Arakil, a village that is in Navarre, but that is 1 hour away approximately and here you will be able to enjoy a flight through San Miguel de Aralar, from where you can see the Sierra de Aralar at the distance.

If these options haven't convinced you, you will also find a company in Biscay, the paragliding flights of which take place in the outskirts of Álava and who will also give you photos and videos of your experience. You don't have to worry, because when you meet your flight instructors in your location of your choice (and which allow the weather conditions) you will be given prior technical instructors and information about the controls of the paraglider and the itinerary. In addition, you'll be attached to your instructor with a waistcoat with a harness and other safety systems, so you'll be doing a tandem flight.
