Where to do a paragliding flight in Andorra?

Paragliding in Andorra is really easy as you will find very few companies that offer paragliding flights. And, moreover, there is a truly privileged location that makes paragliding here totally magical: Grandvalira.

You'll have to head for the parish of Encamp, where the legendary Grandvalira ski resort is located. This is the take -off spot of all paragliding flights in Andorra. Paragliding flights here are completely different to what you'll find in the rest of Spain and, admiring the Pyrenees as you glide gently over the snow-capped peaks that embrace Grandvalira is an unparalleled experience.

Here you can enjoy the paragliding flight that captivates you the most since, luckily, although you are limited in terms of locations, you do have several options in terms of the type of flights you can enjoy in Andorra:

You can enjoy an ordinary paragliding flight, where your only responsibility will be to enjoy the absolute silence of the mountains while you glide peacefully between the mountain range of Encamp. In this case, you will have to carve every moment in your memory.

You can also enjoy a paragliding flight with photos and videos, with which you will receive visual and audiovisual material at the end of the activity so that you can remember this experience whenever you want to go back to revive this experience.

Or you can try an acrobatic paragliding flight, undoubtedly the most adrenaline-pumping option of all because the pilot here will do all kinds of acrobatic movements to give you a genuine shock of strong emotions and, when you finish, you will receive photos and videos of the whole experience.

You can head for the parish of Escaldes-Engordany, in the heart of Andorra, and try the route that paragliders call the “Tossa del Braibal” itinerary. Here you will fly through the interior of a beautiful valley, with lush, abundant vegetation, and you will see the whole valley covered in lush greenery.

Near Encamp you can head to the Cortals de Encamp or Beixalís areas to fly over them.

Or if you want to fly among the great white Andorran peaks, you can dare to grab your paraglider and take over the Pico de Carroi, in Andorra la Vella, or the Pico del Casamanya, in Canillo.

Having said that, if you want a tandem paragliding flight (aka the only paragliding flight suitable for beginners), there's just one thing you need to know. You won't need any materials because the company will provide them, so that's one less thing to think about. However, it is essential that you come with comfortable, closed-toe trainers for the short run-up to glide from the take-off spot.
