Cañada Real Open Center

Come and see Cañada Real Open Center! We are a center created in 1988 and dedicated to the conservation of Iberian fauna species.

We are very close to the Royal Monastery of El Escorial, in the Sierra de Guadarrama.

Our goal is that everyone can come to see various specimens of wild fauna, and become aware of their protection.

If you visit our center, you will be able to meet wolves, wild boars, foxes, genets, Hispanic goats, birds of prey, etc. We offer normal visits and special visits for school groups.

In addition, we organize summer camps in which, in addition to doing environmental activities around these animals, we also give English classes to make it a most enriching experience.

Cañada Real Open Center is a nature center located in Cañada Real, next to El Escorial.

For more than 25 years, we have worked tirelessly to make our flora and fauna known among all visitors, especially among the little ones.

With the kids in mind, we decided to expand our range of activities by offering an adventure camp which is also taught in English .

It is a camp for boys and girls between 5 and 15 years old .

Each day, expert teachers from Open Schools of Languages will teach 3 hours of English plus 1 hour of theater . In this way, we achieve a very playful learning that is always adapted to the level and age of each of the children.

In addition to English, at Cañada Real Open Center we will do a multitude of environmental activities , interacting with the different animal species of the center.

We will also do workshops on crafts, crafts and creativity. We will prepare field notebooks of the activities we do.

Likewise, we have scheduled adventure and sports activities, such as orientation, gymkhanas, Olympics, and more.

We will also play in the pool , we will have barbecues and entertainment games. In this camp, it is forbidden to get bored!

Open Nature professionals are specialized educators and monitors both in free time and in environmental education.

Cañada Real Open Center is a different zoo than the ones you are used to seeing.

We are dedicated to the conservation of the different species that inhabit the Iberian Peninsula . Therefore, in our center you will be able to enjoy interacting with copies of:

• Wolves.
• Gynets.
• Raptors.
• Foxes.
• Hispanic goat.
• Wild boars.

We are in full Sierra de Guadarrama , next to El Escorial. We have been working for more than 25 years so that you can come to visit these fantastic animals, and that all of you get really aware of the value that all of them have and of the responsibility that all of us have to achieve their conservation, in optimal conditions.

Although the visit is free (there is no guide, but each one runs through it to your liking), if you are a school group , we can offer you a specific, very instructive and fun program for all the boys and girls .
