At Argosailing we conceive of sailing in a tourist boat as the ideal moment to share with you all the knowledge we have achieved about the marine ecosystem through our research. Usually, the closest approach to the scientific world that a layman can get is in television documentaries. We go beyond this limit so that you can join us, learning, even taking part in our work.

For this we travel on our sailboat with a length of 16 meters, which we have baptized as Argos Seis, thanks to which you can:

- Participate in our ecotourism proposals being an active part of the journey, you will know how to interpret nautical charts, how to proceed to take samples of marine animals or what processes are followed to classify algae, among the long list of details that a scientific investigation requires. All this without the need for you to have had previous contact with these activities.

- Spend your holidays on the boat requesting an exclusive rental with skipper. If you prefer, there is also the option to reserve it by places and thus share the adventure with the rest of the crew.

- Obtain your nautical title: we are also a school with the corresponding official approval in which you can obtain a navigation license or go one step further towards the skipper titles of the different lengths.

Adding to the beauty of a quiet boat trip, the wonderful vision of dolphins and marine animals accompanying us around the event, greatly enriches the experience. At Argosailing we go much further because our contact with cetaceans does not remain in simple sightings, but rather they are part of a complete investigation process.

We make it possible for you to be part of the ecotourism projects that we develop. Throughout the year, we prepare expeditions to different points on our sailboat whose objective is a global evaluation of the marine fauna and flora under professional criteria. Starting from scratch, we will make you participate in the behavior of our researchers and their work, knowledge that helps us understand why the conservation of the oceans is vital.

For whale watching you will have to reserve your place in our "sailing holidays". In these days we will approach points where dolphins are common, the best known, but also fin whales or spectacular killer whales. We will photoidentify them and put different marine samples under the microscope.

Of course, in these programs, you will also have time to rest, swim and get to know the coastal towns of the coast where we will be stopping. And keep in mind that you don't even need to be part of a group to join our adventure, you can even come alone.

At Argosailing our sailboat can be yours whenever you decide. So that you can navigate from the Cadiz coast, we have thought of various types of programs focused, only on recreational aspects, or on others that intersect with our scientific projects so that you can see how they take place, something that is not usually mentioned to the public in general.

- Full boat rental : with a capacity for 6 people, although you can simply enjoy it as a couple. As the ship will not be shared with anyone else, the trip can be tailored exactly to your intentions.

- Holiday crossings : we welcome a total of 8 passengers who are usually part of different groups. We consider this important because, in addition to being easier for you to come individually, it is really enriching to share such an experience with other people.

In any of the cases you can:

- Get closer to the knowledge of our marine biologist, staying with him and learning about the tests and samples that he examines throughout the trip.

- Participate in the maneuvers of the sailboat: we can tell you what instruments we use to follow the course and how they must be interpreted to successfully reach each port.

- Do leisure activities: bathe in the sea of the beaches where we stop, try a diving baptism with an instructor at no additional cost or kayak along almost deserted shores.

At Argosailing we have proven that it is almost impossible for you not to fall in love with the sea as soon as you try a boat trip. For this reason, and for you to acquire the ability to govern it yourself, we have thoroughly prepared ourselves as a nautical school capable of training you and facilitating the obtaining of all titles.

The Andalusian Institute of Sports has approved us so that you can finish with us, both the theoretical blocks of each of the degrees, as well as the practical ones. They are:

- Navigation license : it is the most basic and is used to navigate during the day if it does not exceed 6 meters in length. It also enables you for jet skis of less than 55 HP. You can get away from the coast up to 2 miles. With 16 years, if the parents authorize it, it can start. It does not require a theoretical exam.

- Basic Navigation Pattern : the length increases to 8 meters and the distance increases to 5 miles. You can also go out with the boat after sunset. To achieve it, there is a theory exam and it is essential to pass the practices.

- P.E.R. and supereriores : you can also request the qualification as a Recreational Boat Skipper and Yacht Captain. The programs are somewhat more demanding, due to the size of the boats for which it trains, but with our help you will overcome them without problem.

Conscious of avoiding the fishing and consumption of what is known as "minnows", we only use hooks that are large enough to be released. The vast majority of our fishing does not involve the death of the animal, especially in species that do not have great culinary value, such as Skewers, Marlins or Lampugas.

Among our fishing modalities you can find:

• bottom fishing , where we fish species that inhabit the seabed, such as the Bocinegro, the Corvina, or the Borriquete.

• trolling fishing , in which we look for pelagic species (those that reside in middle waters) such as the Marlin or the Espetón.

• “live” fishing , the one destined to fish larger demersal fish, such as Lemon or Snapper.

On our outings we will provide you with all the necessary equipment to carry out each activity, you just have to bring a positive attitude!
