Sailing School The Countermaster opens its doors for the first time on July 1, 2007, to meet the demand for nautical activities such as sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, of which there was a large lack in this municipality.

Our intention is from the beginning to meet this demand, but not only during the summer months, but to facilitate their learning and subsequent practice throughout the year.

The school is located at the Mazarrón regatta club, located east of the barley head of the port of Mazarrón. We have a beached area of ​​vessels of about 800 square meters that accommodate a series of boats adapted to almost all educational and recreational needs.

In Sailing School El Contramaestre Vela we are a company that offers complete navigation courses so that you learn everything related to this modality.

Our courses vary according to the level of user experience:

• Initiation 1 : course where the student will learn all the basics of this sport, as well as the handling of the sail, as the rules, to balance the boat, to orient the sail and many other things.

• Initiation 2 : In this course you will learn to open the boat, make turns, complete tours and master the course of the boat.

• Improvement 1 : At this level the student already has a small experience and can complete the exercises with ease, in this course the knowledge already acquired will be established and we will strengthen the security concepts so that the student completes the activity without any risk.

• Improvement 2 : this last level will be a final test where you will do everything learned to verify that the learning has been completed.

We have all the security systems established so that the activities are carried out with total security.

In Sailing School The Windsurf Countermaster there are 2 types of initiation courses, yellow and orange. In the first one starts from scratch, that is, the student does not know anything about the candle. In the case of orange it is the next initiation course. Once passed the first, the student wants to continue learning until they get a skill and knowledge that give them sufficient autonomy.

You can start directly at the orange level after passing a navigation test. It can also be accessed with demonstrable experience.

These types of courses are thinker children from 8 years and adults. Although the course agenda is the same, the development of the sessions is different for children or adults. Therefore children and adults go in different groups. You can go in the same group in the case, for example, of a family. (We consider adults for teaching purposes from 15 years).
