This province is one of the best ones in Spain for this adventure sport and it's also a fantastic option if you're looking for a great way to get off some steam and some adrenaline on, without complications.

You won't find too many places to do rafting in the province of Murcia, but there are plenty on offer nonetheless, since almost all of the rafting descents take place on the emblematic Segura River. This mighty river, full of stretches and rapids perfect for what we are looking for, offers you the possibility of rafting according to what you are looking for, with tours with different levels of difficulty, but always with fascinating views full of scenic contrasts.

Let us repeat you again that, with this sports practice, the adrenaline dose you will get is huge and also without any necessary previous experience! The Segura is a river that invites anyone to try doing rafting, as its white waters are powerful enough for everyone, regardless of age or technical knowledge, to have the time of their lives.

Even so, you will find different sections that are more or less complex, and there are also sections of this river where the protagonist is the landscape (and not so much its waters), as it takes you through beautiful protected natural environments. To make it easier for you to plan your rafting day in Murcia, here are some of descents of the river Segura that you can't miss under any circumstances:

- Rafting from Cieza to Blanca: Probably the most legendary section for rafting on the Segura. This is an idyllic rafting route where everything awaits: strong rapids and spectacular scenery, as well as being an experience that is suitable for almost anyone. It's no surprise that this is the most popular rafting tour in Murcia, because, between what you will discover and what you will feel, this route gives you an idyllic sensation. Overcoming strong white water that will make you bounce against the flow of the Segura you will discover a fantasy environment, which shelters in its interior the colossal mountain of La Atalaya, the castle and Muslim city of Medina Sivasa, the beautiful Menjú estate and the beautiful landscape of El Jarral. All of this is marked by whirlpools that form as we pass through and by natural and exciting slides down which we will descend.

- Rafting in the Ricote valley: This is for the more daring ones, or for those who have done rafting before. It is an itinerary of medium difficulty, so a few turbulences are guaranteed. Usually, this descent also starts from Cieza, however, in addition to discovering the Menjú estate, it will also take you through the park of the Norias until you reach the Ricote valley. Here you will have a bumpier ride, in which we have to highlight the numerous waterfalls that you will come across, which give us an incomparable adrenaline rush.

- Rafting in the Almadenes canyon: This is one of our favourites. A rafting route through the Almadenes canyon is something magical and ideal for children. Here you'll find parts of the canyon with white waters and more gentle waters. But the best part is the scenery, sine with this tour you will be able to visit the Cueva de los Monigotes, a place that will take you back in time as you go inside to discover the cave paintings that our ancestors left on its rock walls. You can also visit the Cueva del Puerto, where rock formations await us that are a delight for the eyes due to the variety of colours they have. We can do this by walking through its galleries and discovering its secrets while strolling along its passages.

Let us remind you that all these routes are just different itineraries to complete along the Segura river itself, as it is the place par excellence to enjoy a good rafting session in Murcia and it is difficult to find other places to do it.

However, we also recommend a descent on the Mundo river, a tributary of the Segura where you can find some really fun routes too. This is a fantastic alternative if you want to try something out of the ordinary. Here we don't know which is better, its environment and nature or its rapids. We say this because it is a completely virgin area, with translucent waters and beautiful flora and fauna. Then we find its challenges, intense white waters, countless rock slides and dams to fall down, with up to 4 metres high. What do you think?
