At Ur Ederra Rafting School we are in the Basque Country. Our founder was one of the first to bring rafting to Spain, which we have been doing since 1989. We have activities of all kinds for the whole family, from 4 years old, from 12 and from 18. All this many options we are sure that you will be fascinated.
As if that weren't enough, we also organize bachelor parties and activities for business groups, with friends and for vacations. You will discover disciplines that would never cross your mind. Rafting in our area, from which we travel to the south of France, has a very special character that you will not be hard pressed to discover with our help.

At UR Ederra we can be proud to be one of the pioneer companies in river descent in the entire peninsula, although we work both from the Basque Country and from the rivers that already touch the south of our neighboring country, France.
Our canoe descent activities are prepared so that adults can participate without problem but they are also adapted in difficulty so that if you come with children from the age of 12 they can accompany you.
Tackling a rafting descent from a canoe exalts the sensations that we may have regarding the descent with the large inflatable rafts. In a canoe we will seem to be even closer to the water and we will notice more each rapid and each one of its attacks. As only one or two people will travel in the canoe, our role will be much more active in terms of paddling, a very important element to stay away from the shore, or to approach them to stop if necessary.
We know that they are knowledge that is not usually brought from home, but for that we have been working on these disciplines for 20 years, to discover the best way to share them with you.
Description of Ur Ederra Escuela de Rafting Rafting
At Ur Ederra we had the intention of getting anyone to enjoy the descent of the river, and it is something that we have achieved by striving to offer something to suit each age.
From 12 years old:
- Canoraft is a type of rafting where a two-person canoe is used to descend the river.
- Kayakraft: it is a kayak created so that a single participant can handle it comfortably.
- Miniraft: it is a rafting boat but smaller, where fewer people will travel than the usual ones.
- Catacraft: it is the mixture of the rafting canoe and the most normal raft, also to be carried in a group.
- Sport rafting: the one that you may have already tried and the one that you will find in any school. Rafts of an average of 8 people with a monitor in each.
From the age of 18 we add a slightly more extreme option than the rest.
- Torpile: what is known as the banana, the puppy or the missile, descending a river directed by the currents and the oars that each one carries.
