Whale Watch

The Whale Watch Association was born with the objective of protecting the marine fauna of the Iberian Peninsula.

We are dedicated to the protection of cetacean species and their habitat. We carry out outings to meet animals and sightings of species in the wild, specifically Dolphins and Whales. Thanks to our activity, we can get closer to the cetacean populations to collect data and proceed to study them on the coasts of Tarifa.

We seek the conservation of the marine ecosystem, which is why our activities are respectful of the environment. The sightings do not last more than four hours and during them we observe the behavior of the dolphins and the evolution of species such as the Striped and Bottlenose. The Strait of Gibraltar is the location of these cetaceans that accompany us during the crossings.

Other species such as pilot whales and sperm whales inhabit our waters and allow us to establish contact with entire families. Thanks to this, we can later proceed to file it in the data bank and better understand its specific characteristics. On the other hand, sightings of Rorquals have been detrimental in recent years and they are seen less frequently than Orcas. The largest species in the world has become a danger to fishermen, but contemplating all its majesty in the open sea leaves us amazed.
