Located in the heart of Rioja Alta, in the town of Fuenmayor, Bodegas Age brings together in its name the efforts of several generations, dedicated to the breeding and production of the famous Rioja wines.
The origins of Bodegas Age must be sought in the first months of 1881 when, on the plains of the old Ebro River, the Bodegas del Romeral were founded by Félix Azpilicueta Martínez. Plagues and epidemics could not withstand the tenacity of the founders. And little by little, in the smelly solitude of the wineries, expansive policies, market openings and purposes of technical and administrative renewal were defined. In 1926, Don Cruz García Lafuente settled on the other side of the road, founding Bodegas Las Veras. After working together in some foreign markets, these wineries merged in 1967 to form AGE.
Today we combine all our experience gained over the years together with cutting-edge technology to make our wines and make our customers enjoy our best wines. Our traditional methods have made possible the survival and glory of emblematic wines such as Siglo, the best-selling Rioja in Japan and much of Europe.
The visit consists of a guided tour of the winery and tasting of a Crianza wine. Bodegas Age has a professional Tasting Room.
In the winery you can have lunches, dinners and cocktails. There is a classic Castilian dining room with capacity for 50 people and there is the old house of the founders with a meeting room for 20 people and a dining room for 16 people. Check availability and prices.
