The San Pedro family, owner of Bodegas Carlos San Pedro , has been producing wines in an artisanal way for more than 500 years. There is proof of this in numerous documents and the existence of our surname in ecclesiastical documents of the area has been known since the end of the 15th century.
We have been making young wine as winemakers since 1960. It was in 1981 when the current denomination was adopted. At first, young wines were produced that were sold mostly in the Basque Country, but as of 1997, wines for aging were started without abandoning the production of quality young wines.
The guided tour of Carlos San Pedro Wineries lasts approximately 35 minutes and includes a small explanation of the traditional method of elaboration of the area, carbonic maceration, with a small demonstration video. < br />
