Bodegas Frutos Villar began its work buying and selling wines from the Toro region. The company opened a winery in the town of Toro in 1920, opening another later in Cigales.
The winery has made an enormous effort to cover the different Designations of Origin that coexist in Castilla, marketing wines from Ribera Del Duero since 1988 and in 1990 wines from Rueda.
Bodegas Frutos Villar rigorously controls the conditions in which its grapes grow to ensure very good quality wines. They combine the most modern facilities with traditional techniques.
Priority is given to achieving outstanding quality, above production volume. All the grapes grown go through a meticulous selection process.
We also produce wine varieties not registered in any of the aforementioned Denominations of Origin, but with purely Castilian character and origin.
