Bodegas Ontañón was founded more than 25 years ago and has extensive experience in the sector. The extension of vineyards, around 250 hectares, is one of the company's strong points.
We believe that making wine is not based on a recipe, to obtain quality wines you have to adapt to the varieties, the climate or the technique. By knowing and monitoring these characteristics, the product can present high quality.
Bodegas Ontañón currently has three offices in La Rioja and another in Burgos.
In 1999, the winery-museum was inaugurated in Logroño, which collects and exhibits the work of Miguel Ángel Sainz.
The headquarters of La Rioja belong to the Rioja Designation of Origin, while its last headquarters, located in Burgos, is protected by the Ribera de Duero Designation.
