Description of Emina Medina

In September 2007, the construction of the Emina Medina winery was carried out, in the Valladolid town of Medina del Campo and within the Rueda designation of origin. This new project represents a qualitative leap in the development of the Matarromera Group, betting on the production of quality wines, for which it has recently acquired land throughout the Denomination (Medina del Campo, Pozaldez, Rueda...), with the objective of self-sufficiency in grapes.

The commitment to R&D continues to be one of the most important pillars of Emina Medina. The winery has a solar energy project, capable of supplying energy to all facilities

We make a wide variety of wines such as: Emina Rueda (90% Verdejo, 10% Viura), Emina Verdejo (100%) and Emina Savignon (100%). In addition, Grupo Matarromera has launched the Emina Semidulce, as well as other wines of the Gewüztraminer and Chardonnay varieties (fermented in barrels), which is completed with the line of sparkling wines.

Emina Medina is the only winery located in Medina del Campo. Its unbeatable location (on the A6 highway) makes it an ideal place to learn about the winemaking process that is produced there. In addition to guided tours, private meals, as well as guided tastings or tastings can be carried out in this modern and spectacular winery.

The new Winery consists of 4,000 m2 of surface. The new center has a garden of white grape varieties with the aim of recovering some native varieties that were being lost and other foreign ones will be planted.

Another novelty is the Olive Garden where the visitor can see 40 olive trees, with native varieties from Castilla y León and another 40 from other parts of the world. All of this focused on wine tourism, which has now become another of the key elements of this center.
