Mata D´Abelló was born in 2005, when it began bottling wine as a brand, after a centuries-long tradition of growing grapes and producing it. The winery is located in a farmhouse in Alt Penedés.
The company is run by three brothers, Juan, Ramón and Jordi Alemany, who wanted to follow their family's tradition and honor their history by producing a wine that their ancestors already cultivated.
The objective is to produce high quality wines, focusing especially on the cultivation of the vineyards. The vines are located in an ideal area for cultivation, 200 meters above sea level and with suitable climatic conditions.
All the wines in the winery are obtained exclusively from grapes grown on the estate. This provides a small but high quality production. Studies are carried out to analyze the ideal harvest time, as well as determine the vines that will bear the best fruit.
During the production process, the most advanced techniques are available.
