Tips if you are going to do Hot Air Balloon Rides in Barcelona

Are you thinking about buying or give away a balloon ride in Barcelona? The region offers a lot of possibilities for flights with respect to the location, you can choose different areas to take off and zones to overfly.

The balloon ride is an activity designed for all ages, it can be done individually, in pairs, with the family or with friends. The kids, need to go always accompanied, at least, by an adult and can enjoy the activity once they reach the minimal height of 1-meter ar 20 centimeters. The rides take place all year round, as long as the weather is the accurate one for the activity’s development. The trips are always done on the first hour of the morning, usually at 7 AM and at 8 AM, depending on the season.

The most common places in the Catalunyan capital to fly over are Igualada, Manresa, Bages, Osona, Vic, Cardedeu, Olot, Costa Brava, Bajo and Alto Empordá, Prepirineos or La Garrotxa. So, you can choose which landscape you prefer. On occasions, you can also carry out special flights through Montserrat.

Usually, the balloon rides have a duration of one hour, and it’s possible to expand the time if the wind conditions are in their best, and normally, the complete duration of an activity is 4 hours since you need to add the inflation and disinflation process, a Cava toast and a rural lunch (on some cases, optional) and enjoy a get together after the flight to talk about the experience with all your friends.

The flights are very smooth, the progress goes gradually, and to have an idea, in 1 hour, you will cover 19 kilometers, so if you have any doubt, scared of something or suffer from vertigo, you don’t need to worry about anything because you won’t feel of any of those two sensations. During the whole flight, an all-terrain vehicle will accompany you, that will guide the route.

Normally, the flights take place on the weekends and holidays and are shared with up to 8 and 10 people. Anyone can enjoy the activity, although, it is not advisable that pregnant woman board the balloon.

Highly recommended, not for those who have vertigo at heights since you climb up to 1,400 meters. But it is spectacular and the monitors must say that they are a 10 !! We have laughed a lot, they have been super nice, I would repeat without a doubt!
