Centro Hípico Deva

At the Deva Equestrian Center we address all types of public who want to have a first contact with the horse or who seek to do it on a regular basis. For this we receive you at the equestrian facilities that we have a couple of kilometers from Gijón.

In addition to being specialists in riding lessons, we provide equestrian baptisms for those who want to start in this discipline. We organize them in July and August so that you have more free time. They consist of 3 lessons at the beginner level of 45 minutes plus a route on the fourth day around the farm.

You also have:

- Horseback riding along the Green Path : we are near Mount Deva where we go riding with adults and children from 12 years of age. The minimum time of these routes is 60 minutes and they are very easy.

- Summer horse riding camps : organized by weeks in July and August. Participants must be at least 6 years old and young people can come until they are 17. They are from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until 5 p.m. with English if you prefer that your children stay for lunch.

- Visits to schools : a proposal for students from 8 to 14 years old who will spend a day at the equestrian center receiving the first instructions to ride a horse.

With the Deva Equestrian Center you can take a horse ride through Gijón with a team of horse riding professionals. Our facilities are open all year for you to ride around the Monte Deva . The excursions take place whenever the day is suitable for it, both in winter and during the summer months.

Our equestrian routes are aimed at adults and children who are at least 12 years old . We leave in minimum groups of 3 riders and do not exceed 6 participants per excursion because it is more pleasant to do them in small groups. So we can pay more attention.

The rides are hired from 1 hour in the morning and afternoon shifts between Monday and Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays we limit departures to the hours before noon. We will go to the Green Path on quiet roads that are very easy for people without experience on horseback.

We are going to lend you a helmet that you must keep on during the whole route. You will be more comfortable riding with long pants and boots. Sports shoes will also help you to ride us through the surroundings of Gijón .

At the Deva Equestrian Center we receive students interested in horses for our summer equestrian camps . We only require that they be between 6 and 17 years old . They can choose the weeks they want between July 4 and August 26 as the last day of the program.

We have two basic options always from Monday to Friday: equestrian camp from 9 am to 2 pm in the afternoon or with departure at 5 pm . Those enrolled in this second proposal will eat at our facilities and do activities in English. Those who choose to leave at 2 pm will have a snack with juice and some fruit at the break we will do in the middle of the morning.

We will be 2 kilometers from the city of Gijón in an approved riding center surrounded by natural spaces. Although we will prepare them with our knowledge as experts, we do not need students to have previously taught horse riding. In addition to teaching them to ride we will do other activities related to the care of the horse knowing how it is prepared and what it needs for its maintenance.
They will help us free time monitors that will organize games to combine with the equestrian activities that we will develop.
