Plane flight Segovia and El Escorial

We are going to show you that it is possible to visit El Escorial monastery and Segovia's magnificent aqueduct in just one hour, and go home having seen an incredible panoramic view of both before returning home. All this is possible from a Cessna 172, a light aircraft. 

We'll start our adventure in Madrid, taking off from the aerodrome of Cuatro Vientos, without even having to go out of Madrid. Once we are on the plane we'll head west towards Móstoles and Pozuelo. From the very first moment, you'll be enjoying the views and you won't want to miss a single second of it.  The views will be like  the ones of a Madrid post card. You'll make out the four skyscrapers at the end of La Castellana, characteristic of the northern part of Madrid. 

After flying over Las Rozas, you'll start noticing that the terrain gets more sloping and we'll get to the Valmayor pond. It will anticipate our arrival to the El Escorial monastery, next to Galapagar. 

We'll reach an altitude of 6 500 feet, which in a non aeronautical jargon equals to 2 km. You'll make out then all the Sistema Central mountain chain, being highlighted Navacerrada and the Siete Picos. All that on the right side but on the left side you will have the Monte Abantos and Villacastín. It will be our frame while approaching Segovia. In Segovia you can enjoy many things among them: the Alcazar and the cathedral.  

On our way back, we'll cross the Monte Abantos, making out el Valle de los Caídos, the monastery of El Escorial again and el Puerto de la Cruz Verde. They will be the last things we'll see before getting back to Cuatro Vientos. 

The type of plane is chosen depending on the amount of passengers. There is a weight limit depending on the number of passengers: for 2 people (apart from the pilot) you must weigh under 150 kg, 3 people must weigh under 200 kg. The maximum of people is 4, and they must weigh under 250 kg.
