Construction of an igloo in Pas de la Casa 1h 30min

Do you feel like living a day like an Eskimo? This is your opportunity, come to The Pyrenees, specifically in the vicinity of the Grandvalira ski resort, and enjoy the construction of an igloo with your own hands in the white forests of Pas de la Casa. Try stacking the blocks to get the ideal shape for your new shelter. We give you 1 hour and a half to recreate this very common practice of arctic life.

In countries that border the poles, it is very common for some Eskimo populations to live in these homes created with ice. Believe it or not, this material is a very good insulator and allows temperatures of up to 16 degrees Celsius to be reached inside it.

When you arrive at the starting point, a monitor will act as a guide and will provide us with the necessary materials to carry out the activity and will guide you while you build and will help you when you get your hands on the snow.

When you finish, you can enter and exit the igloo and enjoy the feeling of peace that is breathed inside. The place covered by the snowy mantle and the enormous pine trees will help you transport yourself to other areas of the world.

Remember that you will be in full contact with the snow, so the use of waterproof and thermal clothing is recommended. Don't forget the gloves!
