If you have never heard of the cave El Arenal it shows that you have never been to León . It is one of the best known caves in the area, located in Valdeteja , next to the Rio Curueño . Thanks to its great variety of routes, this cave is perfect for intermediate level in caving.

This cave is notable for its horizontal progression that takes place on different levels. Its spectacular labyrinthine galleries and its great breadth stand out. The cave El Arenal has the longest route of the caves in the area with more than 4 km in length and is formed under the Peña del Castillo .

Come and enjoy a route of about 2 to 4 hours crossing underground rivers , abseiling the majestic underground waterfalls and crawling through the narrow passages and catholes that take you into the spectacular underground world.

Remember to bring appropriate clothing for the activity:
