PADI Open Water Diver with Santander Certification

If you have already tried diving and you want to do it anywhere in the world with your Open Water Diver international qualification, which allows you to make special dives and rent equipment all over the world reaching up to 18 meters deep.

The Open Water Diver course, is a basic diving course that consists of two parts (theory and practice). First, we will focus on the theoretical part where we will see different concepts such as physics applied to diving, pathophysiology, safety techniques, prevention, environment, planning, equipment, equipment maintenance, buddy system, among many other concepts.

This part is done online with the instructor's monitoring and control! Once the online part is completed, a face-to-face session is given to detect and correct possible doubts as well as to see the equipment and its assembly before getting into the water. There will also be a simple test of knowledge.

The second part, referring to practices, is divided into two parts. The first is the so-called Confined or shallow waters where a series of exercises/safety skills are carried out, you learn to work with the equipment, signs... Always with the explanation and prior demonstration of the instructor.

It is generally done in the swimming pool especially in spring, although in the summer months it can be done in the sea an area of shallow depth. The dedication time is not the same for each group, but generally a morning or two afternoons can be spent in sessions of 2 to 4 hours.

The second practical part is called Open Water which corresponds to practices in the sea. This part consists of 4 outings to the sea, about three hours each outing and can be done in 2 days, doing a double session or in 4 days. Safety practices and exercises are included, varying the depth levels from 4 to 10/12 meters approx.

In the first outings we include all the exercises part and the last two are usually for walks to reinforce buoyancy, system of partners, communication... This part is conditioned to the state of the sea. All trips to the sea are made by boat. Keep in mind that the theory part is also completed with the explanations given in the practical sessions!

The students will be accompanied at all times by an instructor who controls the evolution and management of the equipment. The degree thatexpedimos is a recognized qualification at an international level, within the safety standards and quality demanded all over the world. It will be certified by the International agency SSI (Scuba Schools International) that allows us and facilitates the online theoretical part. SSI is the most internationally recognized organization to date, which is why it is the one we recommend the most, its pedagogical system is the most up-to-date and interactive.

We will take care of processing your license, so that, once you leave our facilities, you can enjoy your title and dive wherever you go. We will teach you to be autonomous in the open sea around the Isla de Mouro!

In order to take the course it is not necessary to have a medical certification, but it will be necessary to fill out a medical questionnaire that will rule out the need for a specific examination.
A minimum age of 10 years is required to take the course and have authorizationpaternal.
