During the 16th and 17th centuries, some of the most brilliant Spanish artists of all time lived together in Madrid, giving rise to the period known as the Golden Age.
During the visit, students will go on a tour around Huertas neighbourhood or Barrio de las Letras, where artists such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega or Góngora lived, while knowing some of the most curious anecdotes regarding these writers: quarrels, ego struggles, love episodes, etc.
You will also learn about the literary changes in the 19th century with the arrival of Romanticism, a time during which this neighbourhood once again experienced a cultural boom with the arrival of other great artists such as Bécquer or Zorrilla, among others.
