Canoe and caving or family ferrata Cantabria

Do you live or are you visiting Cantabria? In both cases, and if you are accompanied by your family, we have a pack to offer you. An entertaining canoe ride down the Miera River and the choice of a via ferrata or a caving route through the Cantabrian mountain range. The perfect plan for a family weekend!

The day can begin with a canoe descent through the waters of the Miera River. In double canoes, you will set out on a 2-hour journey in which the children will contemplate the richness of a prolific land in vegetation made up of pine and oak forests. Easy to navigate, all you have to worry about is enjoying the surroundings.

After the tour of the river, we will move on to the next activity. Speleology or Via ferrata? This will be your adventure:

• Caving in Cueva de la Bota. We won't be going very far from our center. This sensational cave is located in La Cavada. The tour will take place through a cave that has 4 floors and in which there are formations of all kinds: stalagmites, stalactites, columns and banners. In addition, the ceilings are high, you will not suffer from claustrophobia.

• Via ferrrata El Torreón. Very close to Tetas de Liérganes, you will find the via ferrrata with the best views of Cantabria and the most appropriate to start in this sport. In an approximate time of 2 hours, we will cover its 120 meters until we reach the summit, from where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the best panoramic views of the city: Angustina, the Massif of Miera, Brenas... The descent will take you will take you to rappel to end up in a meadow that will indicate the end of the journey.
