Snowshoe route in Pico Pelopín 5 hours

We have prepared for you a true classic of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, and the classics must be enjoyed in the best way, that is why we propose a snowshoe route to the Pelopín mountain, where you will contemplate what can undoubtedly be the best views of the Tena Valley, the Ordesa Valley, the Sierra de Tendeñera and the Sierra de Guara. For this adventure you will have all the necessary material, you will only need winter clothing for the snow and an adventurous spirit.

A real journey awaits us, which will last around 2 hours. This is a snowshoe excursion that begins from the entrance to the Cotefablo tunnel or from the path to ascend to the mountain pass that receives the same name, so that we will be on the limits of the Alto Gallego and Sobrarbe regions, specifically between the Oncean municipalities of Biescas and Broto. Upon reaching the port of Cotefablo, we will take an intersection that will take us south to the port of Otal.

Our objective will be to reach the peak of Pelopín, at 2007 meters high. For this snowshoe excursion, after arriving at the port of Otal, we continue our route until we reach the Peña Ronata and from here, after with an effort, we will reach our goal, the desired 2007 meters high from the Pelopín peak. The feeling is really gratifying and intoxicating, and we say it with certainty, because we will have the best views of the valley. To the north, the Sierra Tendeñera and the mountains of the Ordesa Valley. Heading south, we will see the Peña de Oroeland behind it, the Sierra de Guara. From up here we can also see a panoramic view of Linás de Broto and Viu de Linas, towns that are practically at the foot of these mountains.
