Your Guide seeks to show you the province of Guadalajara in all its splendor, so that you can discover the beauty that one of the most unknown provinces in Spain holds. Manuel Granado is a qualified guide, who is backed by his years of experience and the opinions of his users. With his routes, you can travel through the four regions of Guadalajara and not overlook a single detail.
Our province is divided into four regions, the same ones that mark the itinerary of our routes. You can choose to visit Alcarria, famous for its honey and for the writer Camilo José Cela and his 'Journey to Alcarria'. Within this area we find towns as unique as Brihuega, known for its mix of cultures; Pastrana, city where the princess of Éboli was imprisoned and where Santa Teresa de Jesús was settled; and Entrepeñas, where you will visit the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs, along with the riverside towns. There is the option of combining these itineraries with other routes such as Cifuentes, birthplace of the princess of Éboli, mentioned above.
If you opt for the Country, you can visit the capital of the province, the land of the Mendoza. This aristocratic family left its mark on the civil life of the city, and today you can visit its pantheon and the palace, among other locations. Within this region we also find excursions to Jadraque, within the Cid route and with the presence of Isabel de Farnesio and Jovellanos. We do not forget Hita, an ideal place to visit in July when the Archpriest of Hita Medieval Festival is celebrated.
For nature lovers, our routes through Molina de Aragón will be perfect. You can visit the Alto Tajo orchard or enter the town. Its great biodiversity combined with the rock formations, caused by water erosion, make this route a true spectacle for nature. Within the urban core, we find a great historical wealth with the Celtiberian site of Herrería and the Jewish and Moorish Quarter, in addition to the Catholic sites.
Finally, our excursions through theSerraníahave as their main function to enjoy wonderful landscapes and visit towns that are scattered throughout Guadalajara. Sigüenza is the flagship of this natural complex, but we can also choose to visit Atienza and its castle, or Cogolludo. Among the artistic visits, we find that of Black Architecture and Rural Romanesque; without forgetting Río Dulce and Sierra Norte.
