The Pollensa Town Hall Kitesurf Municipal Sports School is located in the bay of Pollensa, in the northernmost part of the island of Mallorca. This is a school specialized in water sports, mainly kitesurfing and windsurfing. In fact, its main objective is to bring these sports closer to everyone in a fun and interesting way.
For this purpose, it offers kitesurfing courses taught by instructors qualified by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation. The courses are aimed at people of all ages, whether they are from Mallorca or tourists who come to the island on vacation. The minimum age to participate is 10 years old.
The courses are structured as a complete learning experience, which will take you from the beginner or introductory level (for those who have never kitesurfed before) to the intermediate level enough to kitesurf on your own. There is a first part of the course that takes place on land and consists of a theoretical introduction to everything that has to do with the wind, safety rules, kite handling, etc. In this first phase there are also practices on land to handle the kite.
Afterwards you can enter the water to start practicing techniques such as body drag (moving through the water with a kite but without a board) or water start (to get up on the board and start sailing).
In addition to kitesurfing, the Sports School also offers kitesurfing and windsurfing courses.
